Running a business, such as a retail store, convenience store or a fast food outlet and having parking facilities there should always be sufficient handicap parking signs as close to the entrance as possible for the convenience of those customers who, for one reason or another are less mobile than most people.
Making it clear to customers arriving that certain parking bays and areas are for customers that have disabilities or are less mobile than most people will negate the issues of non provision of disable parking, and generally deter able bodied drivers from parking in close proximity to the entrance.
With more mobility for disabled drivers, and indeed passengers, it makes sense to assist them as much as is reasonably possible.
Do you really want your business to be known as the ogre in town that makes no provision for handicap parking, or as the shining example to other businesses everywhere?
